Early 2004 Alex Ivanov, Dave Burns & Tom Martin were gigging under the name of Krasha without a bass player so we advertised, but a bassist is hard to find. So in August 2004 we took one of our loyal followers, kited him up with Bass guitar, amp & microphone, taught him how to play and hay presto we have a new bassist called Ryan Prince.
Now as a four piece band Tom Martin on lead vocals & rhythm guitar, Alex Ivanov on drums, Dave Burns on lead guitar & Ryan Prince on bass guitar & backing vocals the band was renamed Nine Hundred More, complete with a new Nhm logo leaving the Krasha logo for the record label.
At the end of 2004 Nhm recorded their first demo disc at the Tree hugging hippy studio in Ripley., with Mick Wilson. The CD was originally named Killer In Me! But during the recording the name Infinidecibel was decided for the name of the demo.
Through 2005 Nhm went straight to work on promotion for gigs, pulling in a variety of venues. Making use of some original Krasher songs with some brand new original Nhm numbers, and a mixed blend of classic rock & punk covers gaining bigger and busier venues. Putting more pressure on the band members Dave in particular. In June 05 he decided to leave the band.
Nine Hundred More now a three piece advertised for a new lead guitarist, but with no joy due to audition guitarists not wanting to play original material. We decided to gig as a three piece band.
Starting to build up a loyal fan base (The Nhm Warriors), Nhm pulled in a bikers weekend gig in September that proved too much for Ryan, the next day he to decided to split the scene.
Meanwhile back to the Ad-Mag, a bass player was needed again!
Up to the end of 2005 after several painful auditions Alex & Tom had almost given up on finding someone. But then in January 2006 Tom Hickling from Coalville, joined Nine Hundred More, until his decision to leave the band in July 2006.
The rest of the summer gigs Alex & Tom played all their gigs as a two piece, so they didn’t have to let anyone down.
In September 2006, Lewis Marriott joined the band with his unique style of playing guitar looking after the roll of Lead Guitarist. Joining the band in May 2007 was Gary Coxhead on Bass guitar & backing vocals, who decided to part company in March 2008. The band was rejoined by Ryan Prince on bass guitar in April 2008. September 2008 saw the departure of Lewis Marriott from the band. But with determination and strength the remaining band members searched and found a new lead guitarist. But you will have to wait for the all new web site to find out who it is!!!!! Thanks to Groundwork Derby & Derbyshire Nhm are still based in Somercotes, Derbyshire, Recording at The Imagination Lab Studio.
